Jordan Kuwait Bank Signs a Cooperation Agreement with King Hussein Cancer Foundation

Jordan Kuwait Bank (JKB) and King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) signed a cooperation agreement, under which a fund was established on behalf of the Bank and allocated to the Foundation’s scholarship program, with the aim of covering university fees for Tawjihi students undergoing treatment at King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC). The Agreement was signed by the Director General and Chief Executive Officer of KHCF - Ms. Nisreen Qatamish, and the Chief Executive Officer of JKB – Mr. Haethum Buttikhi. The establishment of the Fund complements the success of the program and the expansion of its work. In recent years, with the support of JKB, KHCC has covered university fees for 45 students. Ms. Nisreen Qatamish, expressed her appreciation towards Jordan Kuwait Bank for its support, saying: “This cooperation supports our approach to providing comprehensive care to our patients, including medical, psychological, and academic aspects, which will allow the Center’s patients = continue their education, despite all the challenges they are experiencing, without allowing any illness interfere with their academic success.”   For his part, Mr. Haethum Buttikhi expressed his pride in this outstanding medical facility. He acknowledged  JKB’s support for the establishment of the University Grant Fund for Patients of King Hussein Cancer Center reflects our belief in the foundation’s noble mission and its vital and sustainable role in the community, and a translation of our strategy and social responsibility towards the sustainable development of the education and health sectors and expressed its pleasure at strengthening partnership and cooperation between the parties to unite efforts in fighting this disease. He stressed  the Bank’s keenness to provide all support to patients during their battle against cancer, and work to integrate patients into the community, which will help them overcome the difficulties accompanying treatment and education together. The scholarship program is one of KHCF’s programs that supports Tawjihi students at the Center, who require material support to continue their university studies or vocational training.
