Confirming its commitment to supporting culture and creativity and empowering emerging talent in Jordan and across the region, Jordan Kuwait Bank has announced that it will continue its sponsorship of the Amman International Film Festival – Awal Film for the fifth consecutive year. Held under the patronage of HRH Princess Rym Ali the President of the Festival. This year’s Festival will take place from July 26 to August 3 under the theme “Beyond the Frame”.
The Amman International Film Festival has established itself as one of the region’s leading platforms for cinema, celebrating directors’ debut films and bringing together filmmakers, producers and critics from around the world. The festival goes beyond showcasing emerging cinematic talent, it also creates a space for cultural dialogue and the exchange of knowledge and experience, while exploring contemporary humanitarian and social issues through film. In doing so, it contributes to strengthening Jordan’s position as a regional hub for the creative industries.
The festival also plays an important role in supporting the next generation of filmmakers by giving young talent opportunities to connect with industry experts, develop their skills and expand their presence both regionally and internationally, further reinforcing Jordan’s growing role within the region’s creative industries.
Commenting on the sponsorship, Haethum Buttikhi, Group CEO of Jordan Kuwait Bank, said that the Bank’s continued support for the Amman International Film Festival reflects its wider commitment to creating a positive and lasting impact on society. The Amman International Film Festival has become an inspiring example of how the Arab film industry can be supported while giving promising talent the visibility it deserves”.
