Jordan Kuwait Bank has renewed its partnership with the King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) for the fourth consecutive year to support the Foundation’s University Scholarship Program. The initiative helps cover university tuition fees for Tawjihi (high school) students who are receiving treatment at the King Hussein Cancer Center.
This continued support reflects the Bank’s strong commitment to KHCF’s mission of providing holistic care for patients, care that extends beyond medical treatment to include psychological and academic support. During the 2024/2025 academic year, 29 students benefited from the program, empowering them to pursue their education and lead fulfilling lives without allowing illness to stand in the way of their future.
Commenting on the partnership, Haethum Buttikhi, CEO of Jordan Kuwait Bank Group, expressed his pride in the longstanding collaboration with KHCF. He noted that renewing the agreement for a fourth year reaffirms the Bank’s unwavering commitment to its social responsibility and its belief that education is an essential part of the healing and empowerment journey for young people, helping them build brighter futures despite their challenges. He also commended KHCF’s vital role in providing a supportive and inclusive environment for patients.
Nisreen Qatamesh, Director General of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, expressed her appreciation to Jordan Kuwait Bank for its continued support, stating, “This partnership reflects our shared belief in the importance of holistic care for our patients, care that encompasses their medical, psychological, and academic well-being. This support enables our students to continue their university education despite the challenges they face, ensuring that illness does not stand in the way of their academic success”.
The University Scholarship Program is one of KHCF’s key initiatives designed to support Tawjihi students undergoing treatment at the Center who require financial assistance to complete their higher education or vocational training.
