Under the patronage of the Minister of Environment, Dr. Aiman Soleiman, the Jordan Green Building Council (Jordan GBC) honored Jordan Kuwait Bank as the first bank in Jordan to receive the international EDGE Green Building Certification issued by the International Finance Corporation (IFC). The certification, awarded to the bank's headquarters in 2025, recognizes its efforts in adopting best practices in environmental sustainability within the banking sector.

This came during the annual Iftar event organized by the Council, which the bank sponsored at the InterContinental Hotel, in the presence of a select group of decision-makers and sustainability leaders in the Kingdom.

The bank's sponsorship of this event underscores its strategic partnership with the Jordan Green Building Council and its ongoing support for initiatives that promote sustainable building practices and contribute to the Kingdom's transition to a green economy.

The Jordan Green Building Council is a Jordanian association working to disseminate environmentally friendly building concepts and promote their practical application in the Kingdom. It also represents Jordan within the World Green Building Council's global network, which comprises more than 80 councils worldwide.
