Jordan Kuwait Bank has renewed its annual sponsorship of one of the family homes operated by SOS Children’s Villages in Irbid for 2026, reaffirming its strong commitment to social responsibility and its role in supporting and empowering children and youth, while contributing to the provision of a stable and safe family environment that enhances their opportunities for growth and positive integration into society.

The sponsorship covers part of the comprehensive care costs for the children and the SOS mother within the home, including part of their basic living needs, education, healthcare, and psychosocial support. The sponsored home is one of 10 family homes within the SOS Children’s Village in Irbid, which provides a safe and stable family environment for children who have lost parental care or are at risk of losing it.

Commenting on the initiative, Haethum Buttikhi, Group CEO of Jordan Kuwait Bank, said that renewing the Bank’s support for SOS Children’s Villages reflects its belief in the importance of investing in people and supporting the most vulnerable groups. He noted that providing a stable and safe family environment for children who have lost family support helps strengthen their opportunities for education, growth, and building a more independent and productive future.

Buttikhi added that Jordan Kuwait Bank views social responsibility as a long-term commitment to supporting individuals and families, stressing the Bank’s commitment to continuing its partnership with SOS Children’s Villages and supporting its important role in caring and empowering children.

For her part, Rana Al-Zoubi, National Director of SOS Children’s Villages Jordan, expressed her appreciation for the continued support of Jordan Kuwait Bank, noting that renewing the sponsorship of the family home directly contributes to strengthening the stability of the family environment provided by the association for children and the youth. It also enables the association to continue delivering care, education, and psychosocial support services that help them build a more independent and confident future.

Al-Zoubi stressed that the real impact of this type of partnership goes beyond meeting basic needs, it extends to giving children and youth a sense of safety and belonging, as well as better opportunities for growth and positive integration into society. She also expressed the association’s pride in its ongoing partnership with Jordan Kuwait Bank and in what it represents of a shared commitment to human development and building a brighter future for generations to come.

It is worth noting that SOS Children’s Villages Jordan is a national non-profit social development association established in 1983. Operating under the supervision of the Ministry of Social Development, it aims to provide semi-family care for children and young people who have lost parental care or are at risk of losing it up to the age of 24 through its three locations in Amman, Irbid, and Aqaba.
