As part of its commitment to supporting national initiatives that contribute to promoting Jordan’s image and strengthening its presence on the international stage, Jordan Kuwait Bank sponsored the Jordan National Day Celebration held in Rome, Italy, marking the 80th anniversary of the Kingdom’s Independence.
The celebration was organized by the Jordanian-Italian Forum Association and the Embassy of Jordan in Rome, in partnership with the Ministry of Tourism and Antiquities and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates. The event was attended by several ambassadors and representatives of allied countries, alongside official and diplomatic figures and a delegation from the Parliamentary Tourism and Antiquities Committee.
The event forms part of an international initiative to celebrate Jordan National Day in ten capitals around the world, with the aim of promoting Jordan and strengthening its cultural and tourism presence, while highlighting the Kingdom’s cultural and heritage assets that make it a distinctive destination for visitors and investors.
Commenting on the occasion, Haethum Buttikhi, Group CEO of Jordan Kuwait Bank, said: "The Bank’s support for this national initiative reflects our belief in the importance of uniting national efforts to promote Jordan’s image and strengthen its presence in international forums. These events provide an important platform to highlight Jordan’s rich historical and cultural heritage, as well as the promising opportunities it offers in the fields of investment, tourism and business. They also reflect the depth of the relations between the Kingdom and allied countries, including Italy, contributing to enhanced cooperation and partnerships of mutual interest."
Buttikhi added: "The celebration of the 80th anniversary of Independence represents a national occasion to reflect on Jordan’s achievements and developments across various sectors, while continuing to build on this journey in a manner that further strengthens the Kingdom’s regional and international standing."
The celebration featured a range of activities reflecting the richness and diversity of Jordanian heritage. Attendees had the opportunity to sample traditional Jordanian cuisine through a selection of local dishes, in addition to receiving souvenirs inspired by Jordanian identity and viewing a showcase of traditional attire that highlighted the cultural diversity of the Kingdom’s various regions. The event was widely praised by attendees, including official and diplomatic figures and representatives of participating entities.
