Jordan Kuwait Bank Sponsors the Official Dinner of the MENA–OECD Women’s Economic Empowerment Forum 2025

Dec 4, 2025

Jordan Kuwait Bank announced its official sponsorship of the gala dinner held as part of the MENA–OECD Women’s Economic Empowerment Forum 2025, which took place in Amman on November 18–19 at the Grand Hyatt Amman. The event was organized by the Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) with the support of the European Union, and brought together a wide range of participants from regional governments, financial institutions, the private sector, civil society organizations, academia, and entrepreneurs.

This year’s forum was held under the theme “Empowering Women Entrepreneurs in the Middle East and North Africa: Policies, Partnerships, and Financing for Change.” It addressed the ongoing challenges facing women’s economic participation in the region, despite rising education levels and the growing number of women outperforming men in higher education enrollment. The discussions also highlighted the importance of supporting female entrepreneurship and improving access to finance as key drivers of economic growth and sustainable development.

The forum convened leading representatives from governments, banks, and financial institutions, alongside private-sector and international organizations, to explore policies and practices that foster an enabling environment for women’s economic participation. It also showcased innovative financing models and facilitated the exchange of experiences aimed at strengthening the capabilities of women entrepreneurs across the region.

Jordan Kuwait Bank’s sponsorship of the official dinner reflects its longstanding commitment to supporting initiatives that promote women’s economic empowerment, foster institutional partnerships that advance development, and expand women’s participation in business and entrepreneurship across the MENA region.

The Bank emphasized that this partnership with the MENA–OECD Forum builds on its ongoing efforts to support international and regional initiatives dedicated to women’s economic inclusion—an essential pillar in building more resilient, inclusive, and competitive economies. The forum, the Bank noted, serves as a vital platform for meaningful dialogue and actionable recommendations to address funding gaps and support women-led startups and enterprises throughout the region.
