Jordan Kuwait Bank officially sponsored the Union of Arab Banks Forum, titled “Harnessing AI to Combat Money Laundering and Terrorism Financing: Opportunities, Risks, and the Way Forward,” as well as the Arab Women Empowerment Authority banking seminar, titled “Empowering Women for Inclusive Growth and Sustainable Development”. This sponsorship reflects the bank’s commitment to supporting pioneering initiatives that advance financial and technological development, while promoting women’s empowerment.
The events were organized in collaboration with the Union of Arab Banks, under the patronage of H.E. Dr. Adel Sharkas, Governor of the Central Bank of Jordan, represented by H.E. Dr. Khaldoun Weshah, Deputy Governor. Daoud Issa, Chief Operating and Support Officer at Jordan Kuwait Bank, attended alongside several CEOs of Jordanian banks, experts, and banking sector specialists.

The AI forum, held at the InterContinental Hotel, explored ways to effectively use artificial intelligence to enhance financial system efficiency, improve risk prediction, and manage financial threats. Sessions also addressed cybersecurity, digital resilience, regulatory technology (RegTech), and supervisory innovation (SupTech).
The Arab Women Empowerment Authority banking seminar emphasized the critical role of women in driving economic growth in the Arab region. Key discussions included financial and digital inclusion, women in leadership positions, and policies and partnerships that promote gender equality in the financial sector. The seminar also highlighted inspiring success stories and challenges overcome by women, offering valuable insights to attendees.
