JKB and within its initiatives to support the local community, especially persons with disabilities, sponsored Captain Ali Sawalma from West Irbid Charitable Society for Special Needs challenges to participate in the Amman International Marathon that took place on Friday 13/10/2017 during which  Sawalma took home first place in his category for 21 km distance.   Sawalma also participated in the 5th Beirut International Marathon which took place in Beirut on 12/11/2017, in which he won first place in the wheel chair category for 42 km distance. Additionally, Captain Ali Sawalma won first place for 21 km distance at the Red Sea Marathon which was held under the patronage of HRH Prince Firas Raad in Aqaba on 8/12/2017. It is worth mention that Captain Ali Sawalma is the wheelchair marathon champion in Jordan and the Middle East and supported by Jordan Kuwait Bank in all marathons he participates in.
