Under the patronage of Mr. Haethum Buttikhi, Head of Retail and Private Banking at Jordan Kuwait Bank, the Community Rehabilitation Centre/ Baqaa Refugee Camp hosted a charity iftar on Wednesday June 15, 2016 at the Greater Amman Hall / Al-Hussein Sports City. The iftar was attended by 200 guests including children with disabilities, their families, teachers and other guests.   In his speech, Mr. Buttikhi praised this charitable event and its organizers for bringing joy to our children with disabilities and stressed on the need for solidarity to deepen the bonds in the Jordanian society. Mr. Buttikhi also stressed on the importance of CSR activities to Jordan Kuwait Bank's management and its attention to the local community and in its interest to continue its humanitarian efforts, in line with Jordanian law the rights of persons with disabilities and the international Convention for the rights of the disabled, to rehabilitate persons with disabilities and prepare them for the job market and integrate them into the society. Additionally, attention should be paid to less fortunate children and provide decent living conditions for a promising future.   Mr. Adnan al-Asmar, President of the Rehabilitation Center, also welcomed the supporters and guest at the iftar event, noting that the center was established in 1988 and is a voluntary non-profit organization, and it was and still is the only center in the region, offering services for several disabilities, and thanked Jordan Kuwait Bank for sponsoring the event and continuous support to the center.
